OASS provides preventative social programs to assist older adults (anyone aged 55 or over), seniors and persons with disabilities to maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life. The OASS program is there to connect you to available resources, assist with applying for benefits and subsidies, coordinate temporary short term respite (via our service providers), and can provide referrals to other agencies. OASS works with community partners to provide necessary support to allow people to live as independently as possible.
OASS offers two housekeeping programs, Lighter Help At Home and Heavier Help at Home, both of which are available to eligible clients aged 65+ and / or clients with disabilities / restrictive medical needs.

The Devon FCSS compiles a list of people who provide affordable yard work and snow-shoveling assistance for seniors and adults with disabilities. We also actively encourage neighbours to help each other out using our 'spokes snowperson' Buster Snow.
