647 Community Events New arena to be dedicated as Shayne Zender Memorial Rink The Town of Devon is pleased to introduce the newest sponsor of the GFL Twin Arena, the Zender family. The new sheet of ice at the GFL Twin Arena will proudly bear the name “Shayne Zender Memorial Rink”, honouring the life and legacy of Shayne Zender. In memory of their son, husband, and father Shayne, the Zender family has committed to a 10-year continual sponsorship of the arena facility. The ongoing sponsorship will go towards supporting operations within the Twin Arena. Our sincere gratitude goes to the Zender family for their contribution that makes the new Shayne Zender Memorial Rink possible,” said Mayor Craddock. “This partnership not only honours Shayne’s memory, but also strengthens our community spirit. We are excited for the upcoming season and look forward to the many games that will bring our community together in this special arena this fall. With a rink name sponsor in place, the Town plans to continue to explore new sponsorship opportunities for the facility.
