Bringing sustainable growth remains a top priority for The Town of Devon. To help achieve this, Council and Administration have collaborated to provide a strategy for bringing this growth to Devon.
The Town of Devon is ready to grow and has seen substantial residential and commercial growth in 2021 and 2022 including the construction of a new ballpark, residential development in the South Ravines, and servicing lots in the Devonian Business Park. There are also more projects underway including the twin-arena project at the Dale Fisher Arena, constructing a Medicine Park, and the addition of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in 2023.
In 2021, when the current Council was elected, they put forth a growth strategy as one of their four immediate priorities to consolidate all growth-related plans that the Town has developed over previous years and include new plans for development.
The are many departmental specific plans that inform the Growing and Prospering Together Master Plan as well as the Municipal Development Plan.
This Growing and Prospering Together Master Plan is a living document that will be updated regularly as plans are added, completed, changed, and updated. It lays out a broad overview of relevant projects that are currently underway and communicates plans for future infrastructure development with timelines of when those are expected to be complete.
What is the Growing and Prospering Together Master Plan?
The Growing and Prospering Together Master Plan incorporates infrastructure planning and investment, demographic changes, economic development, and land use planning, to support the Town’s vision for future communities.
This Plan will help prepare for the communities’ future needs such as infrastructure, housing, parks, and sustainable development.
