A Growing Community

The Town of Devon is a growing community located 15 minutes southwest of the City of Edmonton and 10 minutes west of the Edmonton International Airport (EIA). Situated along the banks of the scenic North Saskatchewan River Valley and adjacent to major corridor Highways 60 and 19, this community was built as a result of Canada’s most famous oilfield discovery – Leduc #1.

With close proximity to major transportation routes and a short commute to the capital city and only minutes to the Edmonton International Airport and Nisku Industrial Park, Devon is strategically positioned to accommodate our growing residential, commercial and industrial community.

Devon provides a range of services to its residents and the surrounding rural population and offers a vibrant, growing arts and culture community for all ages - from performing arts dinner theatre club to our active 50+ Pioneer Club. Nature seekers explore our vast river valley and extensive trail networks and parks year round.

Economic Drivers

Over 30,000 vehicles per day drive through Devon and connect to various locations throughout northern and southern Alberta.

Our river valley provides economic drivers through tourism attraction which include the Devon Golf & Conference Centre, University of Alberta Botanic Gardens and the Leduc #1 Energy Discovery Centre create regional visitor appeal.  The Devon Lions Campground alone sees over 60,000 visitors annually.
