Drop-in Recreation Programs

The Town of Devon organizes a variety of drop-in programs throughout the year. Programs are offered to a variety of ages depending on the program. Drop-programs are free of charge and are administered by volunteer coordinators in cooperation with the Town of Devon. Updates & cancellations will be posted on this page.

Please note that some weekly drop in programs may be cancelled due to holidays or other bookings. Please watch for updates on this page, community calendar, or Town of Devon Facebook page.

 

Drop-In Programs by Sport

Adult Badminton (Tuesdays)
Ages 18+
7 - 9 p.m.
Riverview Middle School

• Tuesdays, Nov. 5 - May 27 (not running on Jan. 21, Jan. 28, Mar. 18 & Apr. 2)
• Bring your own racquets & birdies. Limited equipment on-site to loan, first come first serve. Waivers must be signed first time you attend.

Drop-In Basketball (Thursdays)
All ages
7:30 - 9 p.m.
John Maland High School

• Thursdays, November 21 - May 29 (Not running Feb. 6, Mar. 20 & Apr. 3 & 10)
• Clean indoor shoes must be worn. Under 13 must attend with guardian. Waivers must be signed first time you attend.

Adult Shinny 18 +
Ages 18+
Tuesdays & Thursdays - 12-1 pm, Wednesdays - 10:15-11:15 pm

Youth Stick & Puck
Monday's 12 yr & under / Wednesday's 13-17 yr

• Adult participation is encouraged for younger skaters. Full hockey gear with CSA approved hockey helmets with cages mandatory for all players 17 and under. CSA approved hockey helmets are mandatory for adults.
• It's an opportunity to practice basic skating, ringette and hockey skills. Chairs, strollers, shoes, and skate aids are not permitted on the ice. Participants are required to bring their own stick and puck. No body-checking, rough play, slap shots, scrimmages, and formal coaching permitted. Maximum 40 skaters on the ice (youth and adults)

Adult Pickleball (Wednesday)
Ages 18+
7pm - 9pm

Adult Pickleball (Monday)

Indoor Playground (Thursdays)
Ages 0-6

Public Skating (Daytime)
All ages & levels
Mondays - 12-1 pm, Tuesdays - 11:30 am - 12:30 pm, Wednesdays - 12-1 pm, Sundays - 3-4 pm
