Devon is a family centred town; people move here, grow up here, return and raise their families here. Our proximity to the surrounding areas means we have connections to a wide variety of additional supports and activities, but we have access to a great number of programs, services, events and opportunities right here in Town.
The first five years of children’s lives are critical in their development as they reach numerous milestones – from sitting up, crawling and walking in the first year of their lives to hopping and climbing by the time they are five years old. However, their development is not just measured by what they can accomplish physically. The five developmental domains help inform the approach to early childhood education, but they also can provide a blueprint for parents and guardians to support their children’s development.
Many of the programs being offered in Devon, are being purposefully created with one or more of the five developmental domains in mind. Click HERE for more information about the programming we offer and check out the Dispatch, Devon FCSS Facebook or devon.recdesk.com for registration opportunities (regular throughout the year).

The Family Resource Network (FRN) deliver high-quality prevention and early intervention services and supports for children aged 0 to 18. There is an in person drop-in every Monday afternoon / evening at the 1949 Building (by the Robina Baker School).
Programming will focus on three core areas: child development and well-being supports, caregiver capacity building supports and social connections supports. These supports will center on strengthening parent and caregiver knowledge, coping and problem-solving skills, access to community resources, improving child and youth development, building resiliency and fostering well-being.
Services offered through Leduc County’s FRN will replace previous early intervention and prevention programming, including Parent Link programs, and offer a wider range of services to a broader age group of children and their parents.
