New workshop launched to help support youth development

Parent & Coach Workshop to focus on healthy development through recreation

Brand new this fall, the Town is proud to launch its first Parent and Coach Workshop geared towards parents, coaches or volunteers who are youth sports and recreation leaders in the Devon community.

This free all-day workshop will equip sports and recreation leaders with the skills they need to support children and youth through four engaging sessions:

  1. HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development
  2. The Virtues Project
  3. Quality Sport Experiences
  4. Supporting Mental Health in Youth

Workshop Information

Date: Sept. 14, 2019
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Cost: No charge to register (Lunch included)
Register at devon.recdesk.com by Sept. 5!

Those attending the Parent and Coach Workshop will also learn about additional opportunities to better support youth in the future that build on what they learned during the workshop.
