3370 Community Events Live Life to the Full program returns to Devon for second year Devon Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) has partnered with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) to host a twelve-hour program for a second year called “Living Life to the Full” aimed at improving the lives of those who participate starting in March. The program, which is run over eight 90 minute sessions, is designed to help individuals understand the importance of overall mentall wellness and to equip them with the tools to make a difference in their lives. “This amazing program was developed in the UK by Dr. Chris Williams and has seen a ton of success,” said Ki Wilson, FCSS Coordinator for the Town of Devon. “Mental Health is something we all need to take seriously and programs such as this that are based in prevention offers practical strategies, ideas and acknowledgement to support those who may be struggling.” Devon was the pilot for this program last year and it ran very successfully with twenty registrants. Live Life to the Full focuses on adults currently, but in the future there may be options for youth or seniors. Overall, the program is very accessible at $50 per person for the entire eight week series and if finances are an issue to those interested in registering, Devon FCSS has resources to assist with the cost and encourage those interested to contact them at FCSS@devon.ca or 780-987-8325.
