4844 Community Events Town of Devon enters partnership with Country Kennels Bed & Biscuit Starting this January, the Town of Devon has entered a partnership with the Country Kennels Bed & Biscuit, its first animal shelter services for lost and found domestic animals in the Devon area. Devon has struggled in the past to secure a shelter for domestic animals. This partnership will allow for the Town’s Community Peace Officers to safely bring all domestic animals found within the Town of Devon’s limits to the shelter to be cared for until an owner is found. "Finding proper care for our residents missing pets is one of our biggest animal services challenges,” said Sergeant Thomas Perry, Community Peace Officer for the Town of Devon. "This partnership with the Country Kennels Bed & Biscuit not only gives us a safe place to bring domestic animals that come into our care, but also gives our residents peace of mind to know that if their pet is missing and has come into our custody, it is being properly cared for." Residents who find a lost or stray domestic animal can contact our Community Peace Officers at 780-987-3440 and they will arrange pick up and transport of the animal to the shelter. Those with a missing pet are also invited to contact our Community Peace Officers and they can share if that pet has come into their custody and been taken to the animal shelter for care. The Country Kennels Bed & Biscuit is located 8 km south of Leduc at 48412 RR 260 in Leduc County.
