Join us on July 1 for virtual activities and a one-time viewing concert series

Residents are invited to participate in the Regional Canada Day Virtual Celebration on July 1, 2020, presented exclusively through Facebook. Visit canadaday.online/celebratetogether to be directed to the event page.

Celebrations this year came together through the collaborative efforts of City of Beaumont, Town of Devon, City of Fort Saskatchewan, City of Leduc, City of Spruce Grove, City of St. Albert, Town of Stony Plain and Strathcona County. Join the event, Regional Canada Day Virtual Celebration, to find out all the details for the day!

Festivities include a free one-time viewing online concert series from 6 to 8 p.m., with performances from George Canyon, Dan Davidson, Nuela Charles, River Poets and Kym Simon.

Additional celebrations include a digital activity book filled with fun Canadian themed activities to fill your day. The brochure contains a variety of Canada Day workshops, activities, crafts, colouring pages, a fitness class, recipes and more. Residents can download the activity book and plan their Canada Day starting today!

"This was an amazing effort put together in collaboration with our partners across the Edmonton Metro Region," said Ray Ralph, Mayor for the Town of Devon. "While it is not the Canada Day Celebration many of us expected in 2020, it has been amazing to see how quickly event planning staff across our region can adapt and still bring us a virtual concert series for all our residents to enjoy this Canada Day."

Residents can also check out the virtual celebrations organized by the Government of Canada for additional activities. Let us know how you are celebrating Canada Day by using the hashtag #celebratetogether.
