1589 Community Events Update includes work completed to date and upcoming towards priorities Council received an update on their strategic priorities through a presentation of the Bringing Vision to Life – Strategic Priorities Update document at their June 26, 2023, Council Meeting. In Oct. 2021, Council identified 4 immediate priorities to be addressed by Administration that included: Public Engagement, Growth Strategy, Recreation Facility and Business Outreach. Through working through these priorities, Administration has expanded on them to now include: Public & Community Engagement Development of the Growing & Prospering Together Master Plan Facility Development – Arena, Esso Building, Public Facing Facility Master Plan, Multi-Purpose Fields, & Esso Lands Business Outreach & Economic Development Implementing an Integrated Corporate Planning & Fiscal Management Cycle The Bringing Vision to Life document outlines the work Administration has completed to advance Council’s strategic priorities as well as next steps and/or future plans to continue to move them forward. “Shortly after being elected, Council worked together to incorporate the feedback we had heard on the campaign trail and develop strategic priorities for Devon’s future,” said Mayor Craddock. “Administration has been working hard to deliver on Council’s priorities and I would like to commend them on their great work and for setting us up for success as we continue our mandate to attract new development and investment to Devon.” Learn more about Council’s strategic priorities at devon.ca/council-priorities.
