3686 Community Events Devon residents invited to submit artwork to be featured on reusable bags The Town of Devon has partnered with the Arts Association of Devon to launch a Reusable Bag Design Art Contest to promote the message of reducing the use of single use items. Devon artists are invited to submit a design that visually represents how they would contribute to a healthy planet earth living in Devon. The winners will have their design proudly displayed on one of two reusable cloth bags that will be distributed to every Devon household as a part of a single use plastic reduction strategy, which the Town will continue to explore throughout the year. Contest Criteria Artwork must have the words “Our Devon” incorporated into the design in some way The design must be an original creation and be signed by the artist (not commercially created) The image imprint size on the bags is 8” x 8” Two Age Categories Under 15 years 15+ years Submission Artwork must be submitted as a high quality, printed hard copy and can be dropped off at the Town of Devon Office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday or at the Devon Artisan Market on the second Sunday of each month from noon to 4 p.m. All submissions will become the property of the Town of Devon as winners will be featured on cloth bags distributed by the Town. The contest closes May 12 and the winners will be announced in early June.
