3508 Community Events Devon Town Council has approved the 2018 budget, which includes a 1.59 per cent municipal tax increase for the next year, the smallest increase over the past five years. “Council will always be looking for responsible ways to keep costs down for our residents,” said Ray Ralph, Mayor for the Town of Devon. “Administration presented a fiscally responsible 2018 budget and after thorough review and adjustments, we are proud to adopt it.” “Keeping tax increases to a minimum is always a challenge, especially when trying to improve our level of service to residents,” said Tony Kulbisky, Chief Administrative Officer. “Our team worked diligently to ensure we met the needs our community and I feel we have achieved this in the 2018 budget." Tax notices will be mailed out to Devon property owners on May 31 and payment is due by June 30. The Town also offers residents the opportunity to pay their property taxes on a monthly basis with its Preauthorized Payment Form available at the Town office or Town of Devon website. -30- For more information contact: Justin Janke Communications Coordinator Town of Devon P: 780-987-8302 E: JJanke@devon.ca Share Print
