2287 Community Events Casual position Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Title of Position: Casual RCMP Detachment Clerk The Casual RCMP Detachment Clerk provides administrative support to RCMP Officers and provides assistance to the general public within the Police environment. Key Responsibilities Administrative support for Devon RCMP Detachment which includes: Answer telephone calls and dispatch RCMP officers to complaints. Data entry into Police Reporting and Occurrence System (PROS) creating new files when complaints are received by phone or at the front counter. Front counter administrative support at Devon RCMP Detachment which includes processing Criminal Record Checks, collision reports, obtaining written statements from victims of crime and dealing with complaints and requests for information from the public at the front counter. Assisting with Court Liaison duties including preparing Information’s, preparing disclosure for the Crown’s Office and forwarding electronically. Other duties as required. This position will supplement the Town of Devon casual pool. Qualifications Education: Grade 12 or equivalent Experience: • Familiarity with policing environment preferred. • PROS and CPIC training and experience preferred. • RCMP Reliability Security Clearance is required. Hours of work: Casual position working with Devon RCMP, casual hours as the need arises.
