Street Sweeping Begins April 15

The Town of Devon has updated its fire rating to Fire Advisory as of April 13, 2025.

Under this advisory:

• Recreational fires in approved fire pits are still permitted.
• Open fires (fires not in an approved pit) and fireworks require a permit. Please note that permits may be restricted based on conditions.
• Smokers that burn solid fuels are permitted.
• Propane and gas-fueled cooking appliances are allowed.

The Fire Advisory rating serves as a reminder of the increased fire risk within our community. Residents are asked to take extra precautions:

• Dispose of smoking materials in proper metal containers and ensure they are fully extinguished.
• Never discard cigarettes into backyard vegetation, on walking trails, or from vehicles.
• Do not extinguish cigarettes in flowerpots, planters, or organic material.

Devon Fire Rescue will continue to monitor conditions and update the fire rating as needed to protect public safety.
