3324 Community Events Northern Alberta Xtreme Hockey Academy to take on Berlin Polar Bears High level international U16 AAA hockey is coming to the Dale Fisher Arena on Feb. 6! Come down and watch the German National Team, Berlin Polar Bears take on the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) Hockey Academy in this great bout between one of Germany’s and Alberta’s top teams. When: Feb. 6, 2018 Time: Puck drops at 6:30 p.m. Place: Dale Fisher Arena, Devon (32 Haven Ave., Devon) Cost: NO CHARGE EVENT! Along with some high end hockey, legendary Edmonton Oiler and future hall of famer Ryan Smyth will be in the house to support this international event and to sign some autographs for fans. “We are ecstatic that the Northern Alberta Xtreme Hockey Academy and the Berlin Polar Bears agreed to play a game right here in the heart of Devon at our Dale Fisher Arena,” said Pat Nicol, Economic Development Officer for the Town of Devon. “This is a great opportunity for us to showcase our amazing community and go beyond our international borders to showcase Devon.” The Town of Devon’s Community Bus will be out to shuttle Devon residents to the game, making stops at Highwood Blvd., Boston Pizza and at Centennial Park for only $5 per round trip. This inclusive hockey event will have members of the Devon Barons of the NCHL in attendance with a silent auction to help hockey fans add to their memorabilia collections, and Devon Minor Hockey on hand with 50-50’s.
