Devon Days Midway rides under review for recertification before opening

The Town of Devon has met with Wildrose Amusements and has requested completed recertification from the Alberta Elevating Devices and Ride Safety Association, the provincial governing body.

This will need to be in place before the Town of Devon considers opening the rides. The two rides that experienced issues in Stony Plain have been removed from service by the operator.

“Our requirements have to be met or the rides will not open,” said Mayor Craddock “Without the recertification the rides will not proceed. The safety of our residents is of our utmost importance.”

We would also like to thank the Devon Days Committee for their attention to this and for working with the Town to make the best decision possible for the community.

The remaining Devon Days events will be proceeding as planned.

Updates to the event will be available at devon.ca/devondays
