3171 Community Events EOC to assist Town with providing additional social services to Devon residents The Town of Devon has proactively activated level one of its Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) to enact its Emergency Social Services Plan that will support the delivery of social services to Devon residents in need during the COVID-19 situation. Town staff are currently working with local community groups, businesses and other agencies to determine what additional services the Town can provide residents who may need additional support. As additional social services are identified for residents in need, we will provide an update to the community through our website at devon.ca/covid19 and social media accounts (Facebook & Twitter). “As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we need to ensure that the Town is doing everything it can to support our seniors and disabled population or anyone else in need in the community,” said Ray Ralph, Mayor for the Town of Devon. “We will continue to share information as it become available to keep our residents informed of what social services programs we have available and how they can be accessed.” Facility Closures As of Mar. 16, the following facilities have been closed to the public as a precautionary measure: Dale Fisher Arena Devon Community Centre 1949 Building Devon Public Library These closures will be revisited closer to Mar. 31 to determine if they need to remain into April.
