424 Community Events Provide input on the municipal budget at devon.ca/budget-submissions The Town of Devon is excited to announce that it has enhanced its municipal budget engagement process for the 2024-2025 budget. This new enhanced process will provide the community with a much larger window to provide feedback on the budget, while also giving Administration time to review costs of community requests and ensure Council has the information they need to make an informed decision. Public budget submission examples could include new infrastructure projects, enhancing existing areas, exploring new programming or anything else residents would like Council to consider that would improve the Devon community. “We launched a new municipal budget process in 2022, and the community's response has been fantastic. Many of you have reached out to Council with your thoughts and ideas to improve Devon," said Mayor Craddock. "By moving up the timeline and enabling online submissions, we aim to encourage even more public participation as we head into the upcoming municipal budget season in November." Budget Submission Timeline The new online budget submission form will be available starting on August 15, 2024, at devon.ca/budget-submissions and will be accepted until September 30, 2024. All submissions will be reviewed by Administration and included in Council’s budget package for their review during Budget Deliberations on November 15 & 16, 2024. Community Grant Program Community groups looking to participate in the Community Grant Program will follow the same process as previous years by filling out the form at devon.ca/communitygrant.
