3818 Community Events New banners feature Devon residents in Devon places doing Devon activities The streets of Devon now feature “Our Devon” banners on street light posts all over town. These banners showcase Devon residents participating in various activities in and around Devon. The light post banner project started in mid-2017 with photos taken of our Devon residents throughout the year, concluding with the banners going up on light posts around Devon in late February. “Our Devon is unique to us, as is what we have to offer.” said Patricia Nicol, Economic Development Officer for the Town of Devon. “It embodies all aspects of our community, and gives our residents a sense of pride seeing friends, family and co-workers front and centre, representing Our Devon”. These banners will serve as a great way to showcase our Devon to both those living here and those who come to visit or just passing through. Some examples of activities on the “Our Devon” banners include: Riverview Raiders basketball, biking at the Voyageur Park bike park, walking on our extensive trail system, skating at the Dale Fisher Arena, fishing in the North Saskatchewan River, golfing at our own local Devon Golf Course and many more activities! Check out the new banners down Superior Street, Miquelon Avenue, down in Voyageur Park or around the downtown core. -30- For more information contact: Patricia Nicol Economic Development Officer Town of Devon P: 780-987-8306 E: PNicol@devon.ca Justin Janke Communications Coordinator Town of Devon P: 780-987-8302 E: JJanke@devon.ca Share Print
