SOLE in place since Mar. 24 to assist with providing COVID-19 support

The Town of Devon has allowed its state of local emergency (SOLE) to help provide support to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic to expire after being in place since Mar. 24, 2020.

This decision comes after the City of Edmonton allowed its SOLE to expire and is attributed to the low number of active COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations within the region. As of today, there are 0 active cases of COVID-19 currently recorded by the Government of Alberta in the Leduc and Devon zone.

“I would like to thank everyone for their hard work over the past months as we have very successfully flattened the curve of COVID-19 in our region,” said Ray Ralph, Mayor for the Town of Devon. “Our work is not 100% done yet, so please continue doing your part to follow the direction of Alberta Health Services as they work towards moving us into Stage 2 of Alberta’s Relaunch Strategy.”
