3012 Community Events Information for seniors and additional resources available at devon.ca/covid19 The Town of Devon has identified senior support programs and compiled various resources for local businesses and residents to provide assistance during the COVID-19 situation. Support for Devon Seniors/Residents in Need Everyone’s Community Bus – No Fee to Ride We have suspended all out of Town services for the bus, but our in-Town service is still available. Bus hours will vary to accommodate extended early access for seniors/disabled residents only. Call 780-910-1960 to book your ride on our community bus. Shopping Support – No Fee Grocery Delivery & Senior Shopping Hours Hardy's Independent Grocer is offering a seniors only shopping hour starting Thursday, Mar. 19 every Tuesday and Thursday from 7-8 a.m. until further notice. If you live in Devon and are a senior/have a disability who is unable to get to the grocery store, your local church may be able to provide assistance. Town of Devon staff may also assist seniors/those in need by doing their shopping and delivering it to their doorstep. Medical Appointment Support For medical appointments outside of Devon, the Town has coordinated with the Drive Happiness Senior Assistance Program to assist residents. For medical appointments within Devon, the Devon Community Bus is available within Town on Tuesdays and Thursdays and has waived the $5 ride all day fee at this time.
