REP to begin at Devon Community Centre & Dale Fisher Arena starting Sept. 21

REP Update from the Government of Alberta - Sept. 21

The Town has received clarification from the Government of Alberta regarding youth access to facilities under the REP.

  • Youth under 18 accessing a facility with a REP in place for the sole purpose of taking part in a youth activity do not need to provide proof of vaccination.
  • However, if a facility has a REP in place, individuals ages 12 and up must show one of the acceptable options for proof of vaccination if they wish to spectate or participate in a mixed youth/adult activity (not including an activity where the adult supports the youth, such as a parents and tots class).

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we continue to learn and seek clarity from the province.

We will be building an FAQ section on our website throughout the week to help answer questions that residents may have about the program at devon.ca/REP.

Original Release - Sept. 20

In response to the Government of Alberta declaring a state of public health emergency, effective Sept. 21, 2021, the Town of Devon will be implementing the provincial Restrictions Exemption Program (REP) at the Devon Community Centre and Dale Fisher Arena.

Proof of Vaccination

Under the REP, those entering the Devon Community Centre and Dale Fisher Arena that are 18 years of age and older will be required to provide valid personal identification along with:

  • a partial vaccination will be accepted up to Oct. 25 (one dose received 14 days before entry)
  • full vaccination is required after Oct. 25 (two doses received 14 days before entry)
  • proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test completed within 72 hours
  • documentation of a medical exemption

Those looking to acquire their proof of vaccination can print off or screen shot their vaccine record at albertavaccinerecord.ca.

All other Town-operated facilities including the Town Office and Devon Fire Hall are deemed essential services and will not be a part of the Restrictions Exemption Program. Provincial public health measures will continue to be followed in these facilities.
