Starting on Oct. 25, 2021, Devon residents will be able to board an Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) bus at the Devon Community Centre and connect to the City of Edmonton or the Edmonton International Airport (EIA) Outlet Mall. Bus Schedule This new transit service will provide two bussing options for Devon 7 days a week. The first bus will depart from the Devon Community Centre at 6:30 a.m. to connect residents to the Southgate Transit Centre at 7:05 a.m. and ensure they have enough time to make it to school or work. A later bus will depart from the Devon Community Centre at 10 a.m. to connect to the EIA Outlet Mall at 10:20 a.m. to give residents another option for shopping or employment opportunities at the mall. A return bus to Devon will depart the Southgate Transit Centre in the evening at 6 p.m. and will make a stop at the EIA Outlet Mall at 6:30 p.m. before returning to Devon to drop passengers off at the Devon Community Centre at 6:50 p.m. Bus Fare For the pilot period, there will be no cost to ride the bus from Devon to the Southgate Transit Centre or EIA Outlet Mall. Fees will however apply to transfer onto other ETS Services (LRT, other ETS busses). All ETS fare info is available at edmonton.ca/ets/fares-passes. Bringing transit to Devon has been a priority of the 2017-2021 Council since its election and the Town is proud to be able to deliver on this at the end of their term. Earlier this year, the Town asked residents what they would want in a transit service and the two routes selected reflect what the majority of the community were looking for. The transit pilot will be re-evaluated in 2022 to determine its success and make any changes if needed. Learn more about Devon’s new transit service at devon.ca/transit. Share Print
