Community Bus

Ring & Ride 780-910-1960

  • this is a ride-share service available to Devon residents. Priority is given to those with booked appointments (e.g. to doctor, bank etc.) and our driver will work with everyone to support their needs 
  • door to door service within Devon (must be able to safely get themselves on and off the bus unaided by driver)
  • motorized vehicle users are required to have an initial "meet and greet" with our driver to ensure that your location is suitable for our lift, to familiarize themselves with the operation / that their vehicle and their ability to drive it on and off safely is compatible
  • Devon service is available ANYTIME during the hours listed on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Phone is answered Mondays-Thursdays only

Pricing (round trip)

$5.00 - Devon (RIDE ALL DAY 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)

$12.00 - Leduc (call to book Monday morning before 8:45 a.m.)

Rent the Bus! 

  • the bus is available for private rental.
  • pre-book at least 72 hours in advance (late cancellation fees apply).
  • the bus accommodates 16 people.
  • rentals are required to start and end in Devon - restrictions apply.
  • due to liability, there are restrictions regarding rentals to events where alcohol is served.

Transportation of Children

ALL riders ride at their own risk.

  1. We have a new bus and our currently working to update our procedures for anyone under 16 to ride. At this time, all riders will need to be in car / booster seats, as per Alberta regulation. However, we cannot currently accommodate those who require rear tethers.  
  2. We encourage anyone who would like to use the bus with a child to request a free visit to 'check it out' before you ride
  3. ALL passengers out of car seat age/weight are required to wear seat belts on our bus because they are available. For information on Alberta regulations regarding car seats FOLLOW THIS LINK

Children and youth under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult and it is the responsilbity of the adult to ensure the driver insttruction to "buckle up" is adhered to.

Customer, Bus and Driver Safety

We are happy to be able to provide this service for our Devon residents. In order to maximize the life potential for the longer term, we would like to remind all users of the following:

General Information & Safety

  • This is a ride-share service; drivers will respond to calls on a priority basis and get to people as soon as possible. Sometimes delays are outside of their control.
  • Please be ready waiting for your pick-up so that our drivers can best accommodate everyone.
  • Food and drink consumption is not permitted on the bus.
  • Our driver and all passengers deserve respect and courteous behaviour – our drivers have the right to refuse service at any time their safety or that of other passengers is a concern.

Exiting / Entering the Bus

  • Passengers must be physically capable of getting themselves on and off the bus safely with no assistance. Where assistance is required, the passenger must have someone ride with them.

Lift Usage

  • Passengers are responsible for getting themselves safely on and off the lift under the guidance of the bus driver.
  • Passengers must drive on and off very slowly.
  • Passenger and vehicle combined may not exceed 750lbs. Not all scooters will fit – it is important that you check with our driver before you make a booking.
  • All wheelchairs and scooters must be in good, safe working order, including speed, maneuverability and general safety (i.e. no hazards).
  • Lift will not run when the weather is below -20 (including wind chill).
  • Lift and wheelchairs must be on a level surface to mount / dismount.
  • Scooter users. For your safety, and the safety of other passengers and driver, you do not have to transfer to a static seat, but you will be buckled in by our driver.
  • Wheelchair users must be able to transfer to a static seat without assistance.
  • Please be advised that if the driver does not feel that you or your vehicle is compliant with the above then they have the right to refuse service until it is resolved. You will be directed to contact the office for further guidance and / or to address your concerns.
  • The bus will not run outside town in extreme weather events and does not operate on statutory holidays.
