Under the REP, those 12 years of age and older entering these facilities will be required to provide:
Those 18 and older must also provide valid personal identification along with their proof of vaccination.
Those looking to acquire their proof of vaccination can print off or screen shot their vaccine record at albertavaccinerecord.ca.
All other Town-operated facilities including the Town Office and Devon Fire Hall are deemed essential services and will not be a part of the Restriction Exemption Program. Provincial public health measures will continue to be followed in these facilities.

What is a Restrictions Exemption Program (REP)?
It’s a program that the Government of Alberta will roll out on Sept. 20 to prevent the spread of COVID-19. It will allow businesses and organizations an opportunity to continue providing services without reducing capacity limits.
Why is the Town participating in the Restrictions Exemption Program?
The Government of Alberta declared a state of public health emergency on Sept. 15 and introduced a new Restrictions Exemption Program that will allow businesses and organizations to continue to operate without limiting capacity. Businesses that choose not to participate in the program will need to follow a number of capacity and operating restrictions. In order to continue serving a greater number of residents, the Town of Devon has decided to participate in the Restriction Exemption Program.
Why is the Town asking for proof of vaccination?
The Government of Alberta has declared a state of public health emergency and introduced a Restrictions Exemption Program that will allow businesses and organizations to ask for proof of vaccination, medical exemption or a negative PCR or rapid test (completed within the last 72 hours) instead of reducing capacity limits. The Town has decided to participate in the program in order to continue serving our community.
Are there any exemptions for the REP?
Yes, youth under 18 years that are using the Dale Fisher Arena or Devon Community Centre for youth-based activities will not be required to show proof of vaccination at these facilities. However, youth 12-17 years who are not participating in activity (spectators) are not covered by this exemption and are required to show proof of vaccination, medical exemption or a negative PCR or rapid test (completed within the last 72 hours).
