Whether it’s using biodegradable products or switching to LED lighting to conserve energy, the awards recognize all environmental initiatives currently being done by Devon businesses. To be eligible to win a DESA, businesses must be located within Devon, have less than 100 employees, have been in business for over 12 months and have a registered business license with the Town. “Our Council fully supports developing strategies and initiatives to encourage our residents and businesses to go the extra mile to help us create a sustainable community,” said Ray Ralph, Mayor for the Town of Devon. “Showcasing what different businesses are contributing to environmental sustainability is not only educational, but also encourages other businesses to follow in their footsteps."
